Re: Project Secret Maryo Chronicles 1.0 released
Seems like a nice little game, hopefully get time to try it properly some time.
One "bug" I noticed: The archive contains lots of read-protected thumbs.db files, and this stops Workbench from copying the game folder (from RAM to HD). |

Re: Project Secret Maryo Chronicles 1.0 released
Thank you Huno !
I've seen again all what you do this week-end at the ?Alchimie show and you do an amazing work ! Just continue ! All : Tell to Huno if you appreciate his work. He spends much time to bring high quality ports, tested and with even more enhancements. It is sometimes hard to not know if it is appreciated. |

Re: Project Secret Maryo Chronicles 1.0 released
It is 100% appreciated :) All the ports from Huno are good quality, tested, fixed and with some aos4 related special decorations. That very good, and i hope he will do more and more in future.

Re: Project Secret Maryo Chronicles 1.0 released
Thank you all for your support
As Corto said I need to know if all that I wear as you like games because I spend a lot of time working on it and my only motivation is to get feedback from users. Unfortunately there was very little return on my last port and it was disappointing Now i just put the corrected version of OS4 SMC-online New on this version: deleted all thumbs.db Fix with Polymere a bug on a save load function of game Good game now |

Thank you all for your support this game is really, really good. i've always loved super mario brothers and the various clones that have appeared over the years, and this one is really good. one question, though: is there any way to slow it down? on my SAM the gameplay is so sensitive and quick, it's almost difficult to control. -- eliyahu |

For gngeo 0.8.0 only my betatester's have supported my project I don't know, maybe not much interest in NeoGeo emulation?? I think people most interested in emulating systems they (used to) own, and well, I don't think NeoGeo was very popular outside Japan (at least it wasn't in the UK anyway, since no official release there). Stuff like SNES, MegaDrive/Genesis, GameGear, etc was obviously more popular, and so maybe for emulation too? I did actually try a few NeoGeo games using your emulator, but they seemed very hard & unforgiving, so I gave up quickly (yes, I know I suck). Not your fault, and as I recall the emulation itself was very fast & fluid. EDIT: In fact, so little have I ever seen about NeoGeo, that I first wrote it here as "GeoNeo" from memory! @all I wasn't sure exactly how much HunoPPC had released, so I looked on OS4Depot. Maybe worth downloading some of them After looking here I decided to download OS4 ports of Thunder Slash & Symphony, since they *looked* like more normal of the "Colorful french shootemup" games... |

Re: Project Secret Maryo Chronicles 1.0 released
@CrhisH
Also check by the name "Lio", who uploaded many ports from Huno (i.e. which done by Huno, but just was uploaded by Lio due to different reassons (size, time, etc) ). That games "french colorfull" about you say, imho the first ones, and maybe not so good ones, but there is list of the good/quality stuff from huno which worch the testing: ? srb2.lha - Sonic Robot Blast 2 ? reminiscence.lha - FLASHBACK rewritten engine ? prboomgl.lha - An improvement on id Software's classic FPS 'Doom' ? zaz.lha - Zaz ain't Z***, an addictive OpenGL puzzle game ? uhexen2.lha - UHexen II : Hammer of Thyrion ? 1941-extremedx.lha - A fast paced tyrian style 2D shooter ? project-smc.lha - the current game about which we talk These ones are quliaty ones (maybe there is not all, but most of them). @Huno What i (i hope not only i) really want to see on aos4 from the emulation stage: emulator of Nintendo64. Its almost the same cool as FPSE for Sony which we have already. There is was one buggy/ugly version on N64 emulator from AmiDog (without sound, without supporting of many roms), but it on halt, and just bad. The good one (and open source) emulator of N64, are called Mupen64. There is the main site. Mupen is also used in WII64 and this version can be the best because its 100% ppc. On the main page it state that the last release from 14 feb 2010, but if goint to the source forge page, there is last updates done 16 minuts ago. So, its up2date and open source emulator, of the cool N64 platform, which we not have. Huno, maybe any luck that you will check this out ? I can help with everything you need here. |

Re: Project Secret Maryo Chronicles 1.0 released
The problem for porting Mupen is not the emulator itself but the associated plugins, which are often closed sources...
and YES Huno does a great job in providing quality ports but he needs feedback from end users, just to know if someone uses it and if it works as it should, nothing more and he is not asking any money |

I didn't know about oSMoSe (Sega Master System & Game Gear emulator), nor Reminiscence (Flashback game), so going to download those! I *did* know about: * PrBoomGL - a very nice Doom port, thanks! * SRB2 Riders - seems a great game (I love racing games), but sadly way way too slow to be playable on my Sam440 *?Sonic Robot Blast 2 - looked like a good game, but sadly used the same slow unplayable engine as SRB2 Riders. * FreeDink - seems a good port, but the game itself was a bit "meh" (and I'm not really an RPG fan). * Zaz ain't Z*** - game didn't appeal to me, but again surely a good port. * 1941-extremedx - while I love shoot-em'ups, I never likedthe original 1941 (too hard), and this was way harder still! So again seemed like a good port, but game itself not my cup of tea. |

Re: Project Secret Maryo Chronicles 1.0 released
Thank you so much that goes straight to my heart If I also released the series of zelda Roth Olb 3T ,zelda dx, awaker, Miss driller and many other ports.
Regarding the N64 emulator would require too much work and it would be teamwork is very important, Gui engine modules etc. .. Otherwise I ports currently I have to finish and then I could see new porting For speed up Secret maryo chronicle active render 16 bits and not 32 bits Ps: I also promised a gift to my friend Crisot and I must respect my commitments look so out of curiosity but that does not leave now so do not excite, but the project is well advanced Look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3o2Z_WCEt4 Bye Hunoppc |

That would be great, because I like Quake 1, but OS4's Quake 1 is software-only at the moment (except for a very buggy GLQuake). |
