Re: FREESPACE - THE GREAT WAR - RE-RELEASED!
This is a must have game. If you've played any space combat sim in your life, I can tell you nothing comes close to this.
Worth EVERY PENNY! (No, Hyperion are not paying me to say that!) |

Re: FREESPACE - THE GREAT WAR - RE-RELEASED!
Its my fave game of ALL TIME!
I hope you have as much fun playing it as I do. My recommendation, get past the 3 tutorials at the start. Then enjoy. |

Re: FREESPACE - THE GREAT WAR - NEW EXECUTABLE FOR OS4.1 ...
Glad to be of service!
If anyone is interested in what changed from the OS3.x/WarpOS version, its basically: * Compiled for AmigaOS 4.1 * Changed joystick code for AmigaInput * Brand new ReAction GUI and installer * Video playback routines rewritten from scratch * Quite a few bugfixes * Some optimisations * Included a stack cookie * Fixed a bug in the software texturemapper |

Re: FREESPACE - THE GREAT WAR - NEW EXECUTABLE FOR OS4.1 ...
Descent Freespace is no longer compatible with the latest Radeon, Warp3D, minigl and AOS4.1FE.
I get a DSI after the first movie and after clicking "ignore" sometimes the second movie from the intro plays till the end, and sometimes I get a freeze. It doesn't matter because right afterwards I get a blinking screen with nothing on it. Using software acceleration presents a game picture with completly distorted colors after the second intro movie. I also tried various configuration like no joystick or reduce memory for graphics and sound and this got me as far as the blinking game screen. I'm using a X1000 with Radeon R9 270 (Southern Islands). |
