Re: Neverball featured on AmigaOS.net
Must admit that I lost interest in finding the snapshots (or whatever I'm supposed to find on the website) after about 20 seconds.
The image browsing thingie might be 'fun' from a technical perspective but it's anything but user friendly. A list of all games and a link to either a list of all snapshots for that game or a similar image browser just showing the images for each game separately would have been far better for the end user. |

Orgin is right btw. It was fun when you only start with site, and when it was only 2-3 snapshots, but now, its not so user friendly for sure. Just tons of snapshots, which you need listed again and again (and listing all the time are slow). Imho time for changes on site, just to make it better. For example, "apps" area never works for me normally (little snapshots, can't see navigate buttons), but games one are works. Imho, the right way will be design somehow in good wat app and games pages, and on which, will be just listing of the games/apps (which are also fancy-done), and when user press on it, he have page with information, with screenshots (from amigaos4 , not from somethere else as it for now), with videos (as well from aos4). I.e. more better and easy to navigate. Right now you just go at app/games link, and you need to list all those pictures to found last ones and so on. Its pretty nice iniciative with site, but need to update and design it more and more for make it better and better :) |

Re: Neverball featured on AmigaOS.net
When apps/games reaches 100 items I may choose another approach, but for now its ideal for the casual visitor. A list of games featured seems like a good idea, being able to 'jump' left-to-right in the panel. As stated elsewhere I would love to feature videos on the site, but at present any footage on youtube is simply a camera being pointed at the screen.
When the X1000 arrives there will be big changes on the way as I buy/download sit down and enjoy/record all/most of the games being played myself using SGrab and upload them to YouTube. I trust that others will help me do the same. :) But for the time being, no amateur videos. No offence Kas1e, as a fellow 'geek' I do watch and personally enjoy your videos, but they are not suitable for the intended audience. I hope you understand. Of course do keep any comments coming in as I do take them on-board. Obviously I ignore the immature ones on A.org |

Well .. As it now it already problematic for those casual visitors. I.e. they see only first snapshots. I think maybe they (i , other, everyone imho) , see first 5-10 snapshots. And when they understand that need to scroll up to the end, then they close that page (as i do , and all the other too imho). They do not see what games/app there at time. they only see how many snapshots in the gallery. And (again imho) , there is no reassons to wait for 100. More than 20 already give that problems for end usage. But you of course free to do what you want to do, but when i listen to my address the same 2-3 times, then i already know that there is problem :) Just trying to not feed you ego when we say that and think that we want to drop down work of someone. It just all for making thinks better for everyone :) About video and alt, yep, of course better to have its good quality, becuase for first its better for watching, and for second all that "camera point on screen" just suck :) |

Nice game, not come across this one before. Simple but needs a steady hand on the mouse, strangely relaxing to play too. I like it. |
