I'd like to let everyone know about the upcoming scene party "Flashback 2011" in Sydney Australia.
These parties are quite common in Europe, but are very rare in Australia!
---- Flashback is a computer festival, dedicated solely to the demoscene - a place to present and celebrate real-time animations (demos), pre-rendered animation, graphics and music. The word "demoparty" is globally used to describe this gathering of computer programmers (coders) / musicians / Graphic Artists (2D and 3D) all under one roof.
Platforms: Amiga, Commodore 64, PC
There will be graphics, animation, music, and demo competitions!
This event will be held in the Sydney CBD on the June long week end from the 11th to 13th June 2011.
It’s a gathering organized by the Demo group DEFAME. This weekend is a fun event for everyone that is interested in the demo scene, especially older computer platforms such as the Amiga and the Commodore 64 where the computer digital arts direction started back in the 80s from the first of computer gaming and computer hacking and cracking groups, which has now developed into a world of digital arts.
ALL NEWCOMERS are welcome. If you feel that you would be interested please let feel free to come along and join in the fun. The event is for all people, experience not required, so feel free to enter the competitions no matter how experienced you are.
For more information please go to http://www.defame.com.au ----
If you're an Amiga user in Australia, please come and support the Amiga scene!
Hope to see you all there :)
