A small update for the Cubic development environment (which adds support for the Amiga Image Storage System) can be found here (screenshot). microgolded, a minimal highly configurable editor, has been updated as well (shot).
How to activate the new icon system ?
Display dialog, third page, "Symbols" drop-down box, select "AISS". Obviously AISS3.1 has to be installed first.
AmigaOS3 users have to jump through some additional hoops: The feature requires that cybergraphics.library, png.datatype and picture.datatype suppport alpha transparency. Under AmigaOS3, that is the case only if AfA OS and its picture datatype (AfA_OS_Libs/picture_datatype.exe) is installed. The AfA OS picture datatype is not incuded in all AfA OS archives. A png datatype for OS3 with alpha support is the akPNG datatype.
How to activate the new icon system in in microgolded ?
Press the right mouse button: Extras -> Customize -> Details -> Display and Fonts -> Options -> "Symbols" drop-down box, select "AISS".
