Re: Jack 3.1 now available for all Amiga-like operating s...
I have the usual problem with JackTunes button, if i click on it (on the main Jack GUI i mean) nothing happen and the entire Jack GUI will be "freezed"
I can't even close it ! If i understand correctly (and if we are talking about the same bug) it should have been already fixed in version 1.6 Quote: * JackTunes: Program will no longer hang if no music is found in library. However some problem still Edit: Just found another crash-issue on the App-Store section (clicking on "recent upload" option) Here the error: Quote: Double buffering mode is not currently active! |

Re: Jack 3.1 now available for all Amiga-like operating s...
Yeah JackTunes has been on the back-burner until I see better audio support arrive in Hollywood which has been promised shortly. However, for me it never freezes here if no music is found. I assume you have updated the Mount JackTunes file according to your smb setup? It will only work on SMBFS0: not 1, 2, 3 etc...

Re: Jack 3.1 now available for all Amiga-like operating s...
For now i didn't setup any smb (almost for what i remember since i installed my first Jack version looong ago and then i never touch any other releted things)
Aniway smb setup or not i think that the program would just skip or atleast report a specific error to the users rathen than freeze the entire GUI if somethings wrong happen .. Please if possible fix or workaround it BTW: What about the other Hollywood error in AppStore ? |

Re: Jack 3.1 now available for all Amiga-like operating s...
Nothing special but also nothing specific that i can reproduce each time with precision .. just open the App-Store section and click on "Recent Uploads", then on other links on the same page and then again on "Recent Uploads"
After i while you will have this Hollywood crash: Quote: Double buffering mode is not currently active! |

Re: Jack 3.1 now available for all Amiga-like operating s...
I am trying hard to get the double buffering error to appear, I saw it earlier before fixing the red text bug, I am sure that wasn't the problem- will try to find it lol
@JackTunes- will take a look and see what I can do. |

Re: Jack 3.1 now available for all Amiga-like operating s...
@all
Jack 3.1.1 now available in OS4Depot upload queue, addresses a few problems reported from users in addition to other general bug fixes. * MorphOS: Runs in debug mode, please copypasta the result here if you manage to reach it in this release * MorphOS: Fixes to installation icon. * MorphOS: References to SYS: are now MOSSYS: * Began adding connection detection around downloading of data across the internet; due to this being a quick fix release this has yet to be implemented into the App-Store. More to do here. * Donation database broken due to error in decryption algorithm. * Fixed error in opening file manager from the shell using arguments. * File Manager: Fixed downloading of URLs that contained uppercase. * App-Store: Fixed error with Recent Uploads and Bundles both appearing in Red under AmigaOS4; seems to have cleared up double buffering error present in 3.1. * Commodity Window: Added temporary warning requester to JackTunes in case the user presses this icon by mistake. @samo79 Couldn't get the double buffering error message to re-appear, fingers crossed I squashed it. |

Re: Jack 3.1 now available for all Amiga-like operating s...
@djrikki
Very good, problem with JackTunes is now perfectly workarounded, also buffering issue seems a lot better now (crash happen less often here) however i got it again when i turn back from "Search App-store" to "Recent Upload": Quote: Double buffering mode is not currently active! Note that even on the same function the specific line about the error is now different than before! Seems the usually "very annoying hidden small bug", sometimes i can reproduce the crash with this function, sometimes not .. we need some more deep testing ... I have also some other general request but eventually i will tell you later, for now is better to check the bug and fix it |

Re: Jack 3.1 now available for all Amiga-like operating s...
@samo79
Okay I've pinpointed how to re-produce this bug. It will only happen when the user moves from the Search engine to the Recent Uploads and ONLY after Jack detects that the day of the month is different to the one stored in the local copy. Also happens moving to Recent Uploads from any other part of the interface after a resync has taken place. So likelihood of seeing it is twice as a day, once when you first boot in the morning and again if your up after midnight and restart Jack. Easy to reproduce, just delete FULLINDEX.common from envarc:Jack and restart the application. Now just need to find out why |

Re: Jack 3.1 now available for all Amiga-like operating s...
Okay its fixed. I'll release it later tonight with any other updates I have time to do before sleep.
Problem was during a resync not only was the contents of the 'cache' drawer in envarc:jack/ being deleted, but the drawer itself was being deleted as well which was never meant to happen. Done. |

But .. do you believe me ? I think to have found another bug! I've just switched from Calendar to Weather forecast interface and then i opened the App-Store .. When it start to load (the icon of Jack was iconified) i got this crash: Quote: Could not find brush 54! I'm trying again and again to see if i can reproduce it again, please if possible take a look |
