Re: Battle for Wesnoth 1.1.13 on OS4Depot
Great work Fredrik, thanks a lot
A little queston, it shows still 1.1.12 when using the version command "Wesnoth -v" and also in the main menu (bottom left) Could it be the wrong exe or did the devs forget about bumping revision? |

Is this like a Dungeons and Dragons game?

It is more like Battle Isle or History Line 1914-18 and those old top down RPG games you could get for the Sega Megadrive rolled into one.
Hextime based strategy stuff with unix experience. It is quite fun but I long since played it to death. |

@Raziel

The exe has been compiled from the 1.1.13 sources so it should be the correct version. I ran the 1.1.13 exe with the "-v" option here and it produced the same version number, so probably that's what happened (i.e. they forgot to bump the revision). I also uploaded a .diff of the changes I did for the "Get-Addons" function. Hopefully they will be integrated in the next version, so I won't have to remember to add the changes manually. |

Re: Battle for Wesnoth 1.1.13 on OS4Depot
Does "Get Add-Ons" work in this version?
I always get a "Error: Remote Host disconnected" right after choosing "connect to server"... Observing games on the official server is funny btw |

Re: Battle for Wesnoth 1.1.13 on OS4Depot
Yes, it should. I made a point of testing that feature by downloading a couple of campaigns before I uploaded it. Maybe there was some problem with the server?
[edit] Get the same error here now as well when connecting so I guess that must be it... |

Re: Battle for Wesnoth 1.1.13 on OS4Depot
Version 1.1.13 crashes when the enemy starts to move its pieces onto the map. I only tried the first 2 campaigns. The "2 Brothers" will give me a DSI reaper at the same place every time on the enemies 2nd turn in the easy mode. Version 1.1.12 seemed to be stable at the times I tried it.
If I quit the game from the menu, my system locks up Also new campaigns don't seem to be added as when I load a campign, none of the new ones show as a choice. |

Quote: Also new campaigns don't seem to be added as when I load a campign, none of the new ones show as a choice. You did do a fresh install of the 1.1.13 archive? The newlib version linked to at the bottom of the readme page should not be used as it's for an older game version, plus it's useless anyway since there is no clib2 build anymore (1.1.12 and 1.1.13 are both compiled with newlib). What campaigns have you tried downloading? Do the files appear on your harddisk after you have downloaded them (should be in data/campaigns)? If the files are there a (a directory and a .cfg file with the same name IIRC) you can try deleting the cache files in .wesnoth/cache and then running Wesnoth again. |

Re: Battle for Wesnoth 1.1.13 on OS4Depot
@salass00
I just copied everything over so I'll do a clean install & see if that fixes things. The new campaigns end up in the right place on the HD, they just don't show in the campaign option window to play. I'll do a clean install & try again, though it didn't work with the older version for me as well. |

Ok, re-installed v1.1.13 & no more crashes or lockups, & downloaded campaigns are installed & selectable. Thanks a bunch! |
