Software News

GQview is an image viewer, that makes navigation of images easy. Images can be viewed full screen, and a slide show function allows automatic changing of the displayed image.

GQview is an image manager, with complete copy, move, rename, and delete functions available at the press of a button. Find the right image with the search feature. Image collectors can free up space with a function that finds duplicate
images.

Version 2.1.5 is declared beta by the author of the program. The program is working very stable under Cygnix and has some nice additional features.

I've not even got an Amiga at the moment, but am still interested in a new OS4 machine when they arrive, but I just had to say well done as not many others seem to be leaving any encouraging comments.

@ Tronn

Thanks for cheering me up
I had not much feedback in the last time. Maybe this will change, when we (hopefully) can buy new hardware for OS4.

@cygnusEd

don't desperate. I think most of us are shocked by the (sad) ongoing legal issues thus the almost quiet state here and everywhere else.
I'm not a big fan of X11 ports (would prefer native one you know yet I find it better than nothing) but still I salute your motivation and involvement in this project. As I have a party this week-end I think I'll download and install all your latest (I only tried once the pre2 release) X11 stuffs in order to demonstrate them to all those MOS users who will be there
Keep up the good work.

Yes, it's really a shocking situation at the moment. The future of the Amiga is unclear again like so often before.
Everyone hoped, that after releasing OS4 final everything will become fine, and now again this separation
of the market.

I know, that Cygnix is not the final solution for the software problem. Maybe I can improve this, when I have a
display driver to open the programs on the workbench. And maybe this can convince you to use Cygnix

Have fun on your party and show them, which is the best AmigaOS

@ LiveForIt

Did you install Cygnix on a SFS partition with enabled DMA?
Linux programs always do a lot of file IO, much more that amiga programs.
