![]() this is interesting to me as a A1XE owner, do you know if this Uboot version will work on my machine?

![]() I wouldn't try it in an A1XE you would most likely brick your machine. It is designed for the Sam 440ep boards only

![]() I wouldn't dare try it as it is but just wanted to know if it would be possible to arrange the PEX8112 bridge setup into the A1XE u-boot firmware, since I have tried to use one of the pci-pcie cards already and found it baulks at uboot, so I get an initial screen on boot up but it wont pass onto second stage amiga boot. my view is if I don't ask I don't get. and I would like to be able to use a couple of hdradeon cards in my machine if the problem is just uboot.

![]() Would be cool if the A1-XE firmware could see the same update. I have one. Cheers!

![]() I'm a bit puzzled how we're supposed to use this. It's a GZipped Tarred archive (strange choice for Amiga) of what appears to be source code.
Are we expected to compile this ourselves??? And then somehow magically install it to the firmware?? The ah "README" is anything but helpful for most users.
Ah. The links for what we're supposed to download are not present in this news article :(

![]() OK, here's the actual news article:
http://acube-systems.biz/index.php?page=news&id=139 And here are the proper download links: http://www.acube-systems.biz/download/updater_131f_mini.iso http://www.acube-systems.biz/download/updater_131f_flex.iso Make sure to use the right one (Flex or non-Flex), or you will probably brick your Sam440. If in doubt, get the "UBoot 1.3.1f 11-Oct-2016 updater ISO" Download from the correct web page for your motherboard: http://www.acube-systems.biz/index.php?page=hardware&pid=1 http://www.acube-systems.biz/index.php?page=hardware&pid=2 |

![]() Warning: Apparently the non-Flex version doesn't actually work, and crashes before installing the firmware update. So it's not actually harmful (AFAIK), but it doesn't do anything either (until they release a fix).

![]() Confirmed. It's on the MiniITX form factor the ISO doesn't work.
Max knows now about the issue. He will check that soon. |
