![]() Great update, thanks ACube!
It is perfect, that even the old little Sam440ep from 2007 can use modern devices and is still supported.

![]() Very cool ! Sadly wasn't able to betatest it in acceptable timeframe, but good to see it's out in the wild !
Have question through : this NVMe driver allowing to boot from, is just "uboot" based driver with which you can see NVMe based devices formated in something like FAT32 ? Or, this is "complete" driver which can handle AmigaOS4 formatted stuff like SFS2 ? |

it is an U-Boot driver, an AmigaOS4.1 driver is required to use NVMe with the operating system. Same with the Silicon Image 3132 PCIe SATA2 controller, you need an AmigaOS4.1 driver (hint) ![]() |

But this one probably can read only some FS ? I mean to read files from NVME based device , some FS is need it, and which ones is supported by uboot which also supported by os4, SFS0/2 ? Or FFS ? |

it can read all the filesystems that SLB_v2 supports to boot AmigaOS4.1, currently FFS and SFS/0, if in future a new filesystems support is added to SLB_V2, it will read it too. |

Quote: it can read all the filesystems that SLB_v2 supports to boot AmigaOS4.1, currently FFS and SFS/0, For SFS\0: Not my current versions of it, only older ones, like John's 1.84 and other ports based on his 1.84 sources (AROS, MorphOS). In read-only mode the old SFS code works in 99.9% of the cases for reading SFS\0 partitions created by my newer versions, but it's not 100% compatible. Quote: if in future a new filesystems support is added to SLB_V2, it will read it too. One of the main reasons there is a SLB_v2 at all instead of it's code being in U-Boot itself, additionally to not enough space for it in the AmigaOne SE/XE/µA1 U-Boot EEPROM and easier to update, was to be able to use closed source code. AFAIK amigaboot.(ub|of) additionally supports NGFS, but only the old version. I don't know how much work it would be, but maybe you could add the amigaboot.ub support from the X5000/A1222 U-Boot to the Sam versions? |

Quote: NO! You don't have, nor wont get any permission to use my SLB_v2 sources in GPL software like ub2lb/parthenope. We at ACube have no intention to work/edit SLB_V2 or use its source code for anything. |
