Re: AISS - Amiga Image Storage System for AmigaOS 4.0
Is there a tool to convert dual PNG icons to OS4 native icons?
And would apps using AISS be able to use OS4 native icons? |

Re: AISS - Amiga Image Storage System for AmigaOS 4.0
@Orgin
The images of AISS are plain images - not icons. No need to convert anything! The only problem in earlier versions was that I used PNG icons for the assign script and the install to make it as compatible as possible with AmigaOS3.x (with PNG icon patch) and other amiga like systems. Version 4.2 use native OS4 icons and I will provide alternative archives for the other systems. |

@Mason
So I'll be able to uninstall the icon system PNG plugin and AISS will work anyway? |

I don't think that the icon png plugin ever had any bearing on how AISS works, since the images are not really icons but standard PNG images. (The png icon plugin, allows you to add ".info" after the image name and turn it into an icon that displays in OS4; but this is really not the purpose of AISS.) |

Re: AISS - Amiga Image Storage System for AmigaOS 4.0
@TSK
They're not anims (technically), they're pictures with the frames next to each other. So, to use them, read them with Datatypes as usual and split the resulting bitmap into blocks - putting each block into a new bitmap. You will then have the individual frames to display one after the other at whatever speed you see fit. |
