Re: AmigaOS 4.1 gone gold
The news just gets better and better.
BTW, I have heard a little tit bit somewhere else, not entirely unrelated to AmigaOS - but I cannot say anymore, it will come out in good time. Potentially it could be good news for fans of the Amiga platform. I am currently seeking permission to reveal all, but will not do so without approval. I'll let you all know either way. |

Re: AmigaOS 4.1 gone GOLD!
Okay, don't get too excited, but the news was that the ITEC LLC vs Hyperion Entertainment court case in NY Supreme Court has been dismissed. In Hyperion's favour, with court costs awarded against ITEC LLC. I am posting now, because it has been revealed elsewhere, although, I knew yesterday morning (GMT)
http://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/iscro ... 02246-2007&Submit=Search# In essence, since both parties agreed to have the case heard there and not in Washington State, the case has been dismissed. |

Re: AmigaOS 4.1 gone GOLD!
Hi Mikey_C,
For a lay classic and UAE user, what does this mean in practical terms? Would it enable Hyperion to release OS4.x for other ppc hardware such as the SAM440EP are are there likley to be appeals and more legal mess etc? Is this the end, the end of the begunning, or what? Hmmm, as an aside if it was available for other HW then I wonder how this would affect the Natami guys, who are getting close to finalising their 68060 devel boards with their new AGA blitter etc. Chears J. |

Re: AmigaOS 4.1 gone GOLD!
@cogvos1
Unfortunately no, the outcome of the washington case will decide that (bar appeals). @All But let's discuss the court case issues in the forums instead of in this news item please. |

Re: AmigaOS 4.1 gone GOLD!
Natami will never run OS4.anything. It's a 68K machine and OS4 can't be run on it, it's too limited, too slow and too not-PPC.

Re: AmigaOS 4.1 gone GOLD!
Hey, When OS3.9 Came out, I managed to get a ?5 off discount for all our members. The dealer also saved on P&P and time cos he sent the parcel to one address (mine) and I then handed them out at the next meeting.
Mind you, not all of us at the UG have A1's |

Re: AmigaOS 4.1 gone GOLD!
Congratulations!!!!.! to Hyperion Entertainment and all the developers, developers, developers, developers (*SLAP!*, oh, sorry) for thinking of us, and having the confidence in the SW you make to persist as you are under the MOST trying of conditions.
I feel that AOS4.1 will build on everything AOS stands for. There is a future for AOS and Hyperion deserves to see a windfall of success for the commitment they've exhibited over the years. 4 cheers for AOS4.1! |
