Developers! .....yes, ....you!
Have you have ever thought how you would really like to make your mark on AmigaOS?, maybe even have your work published as part of it?
If so, openamiga.org may be able to help.
Designed from scratch, openamiga.org offers a developer community portal, discussion forums, project management and source code repository all in one central place. Projects included at openamiga.org are targetted purely at AmigaOS 4.x, and are submitted with the intention of becoming part of the operating system once mature enough.
If you are a developer interested in contributing to the future of AmigaOS, why not drop in and see if you can help out at OpenAmiga.org
The main points of interest are:
Discussion Forums Members can get together and talk about ideas and improvements to aspects of daily Amiga use. This may generate a project, and an actual motivated drive towards the discussion goal.
Project Management Projects can be created and members added to the project. Now that project community can work together trying to reach the project goal. Extensive use of the forums allow non project members to apply comments and suggestions, while the project comments allow general discussion of the target quietly between project members.
SVN Repository Once the project realises some source code, openamiga.org supplies a free-of-charge SVN source code repository, and allows any and all members of the project to work on the source code concurrently without data loss.
Check OpenAmiga.org for more information and the objectives of this site. We'd all love to see you there.
