For me, this package is much too expensive, so I will not buy it. If the performance would be better, then ok, but with the low Mhz I am not interested. ACube should construct a real fast and next generation machine, not somethin that we already had 10 years ago on PCs for much cheaper! If I would tell my friend with the Apple about SAM with 533Mhz he will make fun of me. And he will burst out in laughter when I tell him the price for it! |

This is AMAZING and EXCELLENT news!!!!!!! This is a shot in the arm we needed 1 year ago, as well!  Since it's AOS 4.1, I certainly hope that there's a CSPPC and BlizzarddPPC version in the pipe also. Hyperion is doing the absolute correct thing here, as they are FULLY WITHIN THEIR RIGHTS to proceed in this manner. I am very pleased to hear of this and intend to continue as much as I'm able to, to keep promoting and supporting AmigaNG. Congratulations to Team AOS4.x on another hurdle leapt over! |

A while back, he was in a such a state of pure desperation as he could not get his hands on such a system. He also ruined two perfectly fine A1-boards, due to overclocking. So I guess we should be grateful he doesn't buy a SAM. |

It would be just so totally beyond words if it could be released in an Amiga Phantasy case (my avatar picture)!!!!! I would like to say, for any hesitating to getting a Sam440EP, there was never a day or moment that I thought, "gosh darn it, I sure could use that money I spent on my AmigaOne XE right now, because I could get xxxyyyzzz PC out of it". And I even spent $800 Can to get 2 * 1 Gigabyte ECC Reg. sdrams for it!! My AmigaOne XE cost ~$3,000!! (This is without the HW fix and SII card and AOS4.1 and 1.2GHz G4 CPU upgrades!!!!!!! These are still things on my "to do" list.) I didn't even include my purchases of Mindspace, 2 donations, HollyWood 3, Aladdin 4D and PageStream5 Pro! And many, many more purchases/donations to come.... haven't even donated to anyone this summer in the new focused donations drive. Computers ARE EXPENSIVE! Heh, I think I just lowered the amount of Sams that will be sold ..... forget, forget you read my post....BUT now, I am estatic that others can get ahold of AOS4.1 and even moreso that replacement NG Amigas are available, as I would not want to buy used HW at all!!! Don't regret not getting an Amiga NG that Sam is! If I had a stack of cash, I'd get the 1.2 GHz G4 but would still get a second Amiga, a Sam, even though I have my A1!! |
