Re: ACube Systems
@Sister_Rita
Maybe you can upgrade that creaky old Amiga 500 you have. |

nothing new then except a new name? or do i miss something? The other information that I got from this news item, is that they're still on schedule. Remember around October that they stated a desired 1Q 2007 release? well, its 2-3 months later, and after a long period of silence this "estimated availability" date hasnt changed. Thats cause for a mini celebration, given that all other hardware makers (for os4) are experiencing delays. Amiga Inc paid Hyperion to do a port to an older AMCC chip, the 403EP I think it was. This was the previous generation of the chip that Samantha uses. I wonder if much of that work can be used in the Sam440EP OS4 port? The drivers for the SATA, sound and graphics already exist as I understand it. |

Re: ACube Systems
OK, nice
...but more info would be nicer - working prototype (not reference board but SAM)? - OS4 licence? - working OS4? - are all tests done? |

Re: ACube Systems
The fact that they established a new company really shows how committed they are to make this work, good for them.
My understanding is that they need to cut cost on board, removing some layers and stuff not needed for OS4 community, to make this a really selling product. |

Re: ACube Systems
It needs some work on the English translation but the site looks pretty good.
