Re: Amiga.org for Sale
Wayne
Thanks for all the work you have done with Amiga.org over all these years. Despite some squabbles in the past, I think your site has been and will continue to be a great resource to the general Amiga community. All the best for the future. --- redfox |

Re: Amiga.org for Sale
Well, Wayne, if amiga.org still uses them you need to be careful to delete all the private messages, IP addresses and email addresses if you are selling the site lock stock and barrel - or at least check to be sure that the each user is prepared to entrust this information to someone else. Legally you may not have to, but I'm sure you are an ethical guy.
Something is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it. Good luck with that. I can't say I'm impressed about how you wanted to get your insults in about fanboys and rats first. It kind of suggests a bitterness, a desire to lash out, rather than to do business. Hope I'm wrong. |

Re: Amiga.org for Sale
Not sure if this is a case of 'caveat emptor' or of the equally appropriate 'caveat lector', but, anyway, you can ask what you like, it really is what someone else is prepared to pay for it.
And, although your cousin has a great personality, doesn't mean she'll get asked to the Prom. Nice idea though, Wayne, you'll get a bit of traffic to the site over this. And good luck with the quid pro quo. |

Re: Amiga.org for Sale
I have made an offer: http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthrea ... 20392&posted=1#post520392
As I said on IRC 10k USD is too much to ask from anyone with any sanity, and if it becomes a huge Amiga consortium, it will be a mess, who is going to control all those opinions etc.... what if someone "wants out"... its a logistical nightmare. Amiga Inc or suchlike could buy it I suppose, but I guess given their current problems, they have less to offer than I do! |

Re: Amiga.org for Sale
If someone or some group of persons paid anywhere NEAR the asking price, well...
What was that quote attributed to P.T. Barnum? Well, looks like we got an hour's worth, folks. |
