indeed. but he should use amigaos style icons.. The architecture of CW looks very open. It would be easy to change the toolbar images. Please have a look at my WIP |

> indeed. but he should use amigaos style icons.. Do you mean the GUI.info PNG picture instead of an icon, or it's BMP pictures in the GUI directory? What's much worse is that it doesn't use the AmigaOS font engines but it's own one, completely ignoring the system charset For example if I type an euro (0x20AC) it inserts a currency sign (0x00A4) instead, if I type a capital '?' (0x0178) it inserts a '3/4' char (0x00BE) instead, etc. |

Re: WIP release of Cinnamon Writer
It's a WIP and still in an early stage, so I'm sure more will come. AFAIK it currently uses SDL to make it cross-platform, therefore it cannot use the OS font rendering. It'd certainly make it more useful if it did, because this way it's only usable for english documents.

Re: WIP release of Cinnamon Writer
@afxgroup
Unfortunately im not a graphics artist however I would love any help in this department. New versions will support different themes and it is already possible to overwrite the existing. I will make a tutorial for the homepage however if anyone would like to make a skin already now, please contact me and I will help as much as I can. @Mason I really like your theme and I would really like to host your icons on my homepage if allright with you. Then people could use your icons as default instead of my own confused ones @joerg The problem you are reporting are not related to the fontengine it self but probably a bug in CW's UNIcode support. I see all danish letters here just fine and none of the betatesters have reported this. It is possible that there are a few glitches. If you find other characters that dosent match up, please submit a bugrapport on desler.be |

Re: WIP release of Cinnamon Writer
Uhh nearly forgot. The whole system is build in a modular way, so the font engine can be replaced with a native one without too much trouble. It is a bit harder to replace the SDL part but certainly not impossible. However, this will not happen within 6 months since im moving to the states for 6 months and will only bring my IBook (and one pair of clean undies )

@desler
Are you going to have a cross-compiler on your IBook, or will we have to wait 6 months for the next update? Hans |
