Software News : New text editor released.
Posted by orgin on 2008/9/16 9:25:51 (1770 reads)
Software News

NoWinED is a MUI-based TextEditor that can handle more files simultaneously, using different "pages" for each file. The fact that it is impossible to find a MUI TextEditor on Amiga powerfull enough to be used instead of Notepad/Editpad and other editors does not have a reason. Moreover, switching from one AmigaOS flavour to the other it is not always possible to use the same editor due to incompatibilities.

Software News

For everybody interested, I have uploaded two small demo programs to os4depot.net that show off some of the possibilities of the compositing engine of AmigaOS 4.1. Don't expect any miracles, though, they're very simple and just there to show that compositing goes beyond rounded corners

Posted by Rigo on 2008/9/6 13:40:00 (1577 reads)

Developers! .....yes, ....you!

Have you have ever thought how you would really like to make your mark on AmigaOS?, maybe even have your work published as part of it?

If so, openamiga.org may be able to help.

Designed from scratch, openamiga.org offers a developer community portal, discussion forums, project management and source code repository all in one central place.
Projects included at openamiga.org are targetted purely at AmigaOS 4.x, and are submitted with the intention of becoming part of the operating system once mature enough.

If you are a developer interested in contributing to the future of AmigaOS, why not drop in and see if you can help out at OpenAmiga.org

Chicago, Illinois ? August 27th, 2008
