Many people don't know that they can also run various Linuxes on their Amigas. There is a long tradition of doing this from the A3000 UX, through the AmigaONE XE and now the Sam 440ep and Sam flex.

This news isn't usually our metier, as we concentrate on matters AmigaOS 1.3 to AmigaOS 4.x and beyond, but from time to time it is good to keep abreast of what other things we can do with Amiga hardware.

Hi,

Unfortunately I will have to postpone LAG 15 which was booked for the 5th of
December.

My 89 year old Mother is in hospital ATM. The Consultant is unsure about exploratary surgery so she is waiting for a decision to be made.

So, I'm on stand-by to move.

Software News : ClipDown v2.5 on OS4Depot - Start in any mode and more...

Version 2.5 add ability to start in any download mode via a new START_MODE ToolType or -m command line option. Also allows saving then playing videos in "Play with MPlayer" mode by setting "Keep Viewed File" menu item. Additional changes include support for ".asx" playlists and two new video sites with latest "getvideo".

ACube Systems is pleased to announce the release of a new version of U-Boot firmware for its line of motherboards Sam440ep and Sam440ep-flex.
This version addresses a number of problems and add some features and optimizations making it possible to cut down boot time by 3-12 seconds depending on the configuration of the board.

After all the negative feedback from Amiga diehards, we decided to let you
off with a warning. aSCIIaRENa is now browsable with OWB, it looks OK minus the font.

It is also readable with IBrowse and AWeb now.
