Here's a screenshot of a WIP collection manager for tunenet, written in AREXX, AWNPipe and Python.
Currently implemented:

+ recursive scan of directories for predefined wildcard patterns
+ tags scan
+ 2 level hierarchy based on Artist/Album (or filename path for untagged files)
+ filtering of the collection display using a search string
+ playlist + playback (using tunenet in daemon mode)
+ cover display (currently without online import)
+ last.fm playback stats submission
